Time spent outside of the office is not ideal. But time spent at AFP 2017 is your opportunity to gain practical knowledge, discover innovative solutions, validate best practices and ultimately, benefit your organization.

Use these tips to convince your boss that AFP 2017 truly is the most important event for treasury and finance:

#1: Research the Agenda

Choose from +130 educational sessions, divided across 8 tracks, to determine which will help you best overcome your biggest challenges or give you new ideas to implement.

#2: Review the exhibitor list

More than 230 leading service providers will showcase their latest products and services. Visiting these exhibitors can help you determine solutions to streamline operations, cut costs and create business efficiencies.

#3: Check the networking opportunities

The connections you make at the AFP 2017 are priceless. This is the ideal environment to meet with your peers to discuss issues and share solutions directly impacting your field of work. Create new business relationships and stay in touch with others made from previous years, at over 10 networking events.

#4: Earn recertification credits

The most simple and convenient way to earn recertification credits. Make the most of your time away from the office and earn CTP/CCM, FP&A, or CPE credits. Pending content approval.

#5: Save money

Book your hotel room through AFP’s Official Housing and receive discounted room rates. While some hotels are within walking distance of the Convention Center, free shuttle service is provided for all hotels that are not. You’ll also save when you take advantage of exhibit hall lunches and networking receptions. Plus, if you decide to attend Conference with three or more of your colleagues, team pricing will save you even more.

#6: Pass on your knowledge

Once you arrive back from Conference, brief your team and supervisor on new ideas, best practices and processes you can implement right away. You can even share educational session presentations.

#7: Share your goals

Fill out the AFP 2017 Approval Form and submit it to your boss. This letter will give examples of how the AFP 2017 will benefit you and your company.
